An ode to a successful harvest or a salute to beer. Either way, a barley mask is your go-to October accessory.

Supplies:

  • dried barley
  • felt
  • ribbon
  • glue gun

Instructions:

  1. Make a mask template out of paper and transfer it onto your felt. Make sure your eye holes are big enough for you to see out of.

  1. Cut the barley heads off of their stems. Start gluing from the centre of your mask and outwards in a fan pattern. As you’re gluing, bend your mask as it will have to mould around your face and fill in any empty spaces with small pieces of barley.

  1. Glue ribbon onto inside of mask. Cover ribbon with small piece of felt.
